Offering and tithing are vital expressions of worship and trust in God, rooted deeply in biblical teaching. The Bible calls us to give our “first fruits,” or a portion of our resources, back to God as an act of gratitude and faithfulness (Proverbs 3:9-10). Tithing, which traditionally means giving 10% of our income, reflects our commitment to honor God with our resources and participate in the church’s mission of service and outreach (Malachi 3:10). Offering, beyond the tithe, allows us to give freely and generously, supporting God’s work within our church and community. Together, these practices invite us into a deeper relationship with God, recognizing His provision and responding with hearts of generosity.
